Principal's Message

This is my second year as the Wagar 5/6 principal and I love being a JET!  Our school is committed to providing our students with a rigorous educational experience that focuses on consistent academic growth as well as social and emotional development of each student. We value our strong partnerships with parents, families, and community members. Our school staff works hard to create a nurturing educational environment for every student.  Our teaching staff works diligently to provide systematic learning opportunities for all students.   We have a strong belief in PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports).  At Wagar 5/6 we focus on recognizing and supporting student behaviors to create an ideal learning environment.  Through this initiative we have adopted the JETS program.

J – Just Be Nice
E – Excel
T – Trust/ Teamwork
S – Safe/ Supportive

Students are encouraged and supported to represent themselves and the school by demonstrating the attributes of a JET.  Wagar 5/6 has an active PTO and we invite anyone with interest to join the organization.  We are looking forward to a great year.  Go Jets!

Mr. Freestone
