For the sixth year in a row Airport Community Schools, in collaboration with the Carleton Branch Library, has been selected to participate in the Michigan Notable Books Author Tour. This year we will be hosting Mitch Lutzke author of The Page Fence Giants: A History of Black Baseball's Pioneering Champions published by McFarland & Company, Inc. Mr. Lutzke will present at Wagar Middle School in the library at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday June 5, 2019. This presentation is free and open to the public all are welcome to attend. Books will be available for purchase and the author will be available to sign them at the conclusion of the event.
